Become a Patron
Back Calgary’s guitar community with an annual contribution, and get a little closer to what Dan and Matty are building.
Calgary Guitar Collective exists to give the city’s guitar players somewhere to get together, learn from great players, and connect face to face. The clinics and showcase nights have grown faster than we ever expected, and a lot of that comes from the people who keep showing up and bringing their friends.
The patron program is for the people who want to back that directly. It’s an annual contribution to keep CGC going and growing, with a few thank-yous along the way that bring you closer to the music, the players, and the two people running it.
This is the first year of the program, so the people who join now are the ones who help get it off the ground.
Running a business and looking to reach our audience? Our sponsorship packages are built for that.

Patronage is support, not investment. No tier includes equity, profit share, or any say in how CGC is run. CGC is not a registered charity, so contributions don’t come with a charitable tax receipt.
Where Your Support Goes
Bigger Names
Bringing great players to Calgary costs money. Patron support means we can say yes to clinicians we’d otherwise have to pass on.
Better Rooms
Good venues and good sound cost money. Patron support covers what ticket sales alone can’t.
Tickets People Can Afford
We want nights that are easy to say yes to. Your support helps keep ticket prices where they are.
Season After Season
Annual support gives us something steady to plan around, so CGC can keep growing long term.
Common Questions
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. Each tier runs for 12 months from when you join. At the end of that year it’s entirely up to you whether you carry on.
Can I change my tier later?
Yes. You can move up at any point during the year by paying the difference, and your renewal date stays the same. Moving down or stopping happens at renewal. We’d love people to keep supporting as CGC grows, but there’s no expectation.
Will the tiers change over time?
The program is new, so the details may shift a little as we learn what works. Whatever you sign up for stays as it is for your 12 months.
How does payment work?
We send an invoice and you pay by e-transfer. There’s nothing to set up online. We’ll be in touch before your year is up to see what you’d like to do next.
Can I make a one-off contribution instead?
Yes, and we’re grateful for it. Get in touch and we’ll send you the details. A one-off contribution doesn’t come with the tier benefits, but it goes to exactly the same place.
